What Is a Seek and Refer Service?

At Tenant Claims, we operate as a seek and refer service. This means our role is to collect information about your housing disrepair issue and connect you with a regulated solicitor who can advise you on your rights and options. We do not provide legal advice or handle claims ourselves — instead, we help you take the first step.

How a Seek and Refer Service Works

1. You Tell Us About the Problems in Your Home

You complete our simple online enquiry form or speak to our UK-based team. We gather details about the issues you’re experiencing, such as damp, mould, leaks, heating faults, or structural problems.

2. We Assess Your Information

We review the details you provide to determine whether your situation may require specialist support from a solicitor. We do not provide legal advice — this is simply to understand whether your issue is suitable for referral.

3. We Refer Your Case to a Regulated Solicitor

If your enquiry is suitable, we pass your information to a regulated solicitor who specialises in housing disrepair claims. They will contact you directly to discuss your situation, explain your legal rights, and confirm whether you have a claim.

4. The Solicitor Advises You — Not Us

The solicitor will explain:

You decide whether you want to proceed. There is no obligation

Is the Service Free?

We may receive a referral fee from the solicitor if your case is taken on and is successful.
